Extreme Drag Racing is all about the straight line and the perfect gear change. There are no corners to worry about here; instead, a race is won or lost in the few seconds between the start and the finish, depending on how cleanly you work through the gears. The key skill is timing. Shift too early and the engine bogs down, shift too late and you waste precious speed, so your aim is to change gear right at the sweet spot to reach the highest possible top speed. A burst of nitro, used at the right moment, can be the difference between first and second place. Before racing you get to choose a car, and each option comes with its own stats and features, so the vehicle you pick changes how a run feels. It is a game of small margins, perfect for players who like short, intense head-to-head races and the satisfaction of nailing every shift. Runs entirely in your browser; no account needed.

How to play

2Hold W or the Up arrow key to accelerate.

Tips

Find the shift point that works best for your car and repeat it every gear; consistent timing matters more than anything else.
Save the nitro for after you have built up some speed, instead of using it right off the line.
